Our training is suitable for staff working within in a healthcare setting or an out of hospital or pre-hospital environment.

We can deliver advanced life support training onsite for your site based nurses paramedics and emergency services officers or at one of our national training centres.

Sitemed is an accredited provider of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN) Adult Advanced Life Support Program

The Adult ALS program is a 2 day course that focuses on developing advanced skills in managing cardiac arrest and other medical emergencies. While the course covers advanced resuscitation skills it is also designed to develop leadership and team skills in managing such emergencies.

This program is most suitable for those with little or no recent experience or knowledge of ALS or those wanting a comprehensive update. A total of 16 CPD hours are assigned to this program (based on 12 hours program contact and four hours self-directed learning).

The Advanced Life Support Training program is suitable for:

  • Paramedics, Nurses or Doctors with ALS responsibilities (including primary health, rural or remote roles)
  • General Practitioners and Dentists requiring ALS skills
    Defence Force health staff
  • Paramedic, Nursing or Medical Students
  • Allied Health Practitioners requiring ALS skills
  • Accreditation (through ACCCN) is valid for 2 years and a one (1) day refresher course is available for those people with previous ALS training.
